This year, Tempini celebrates 100 years of continuous activity, filled with energy and creative force, dressed in refinement and paved with art. Each tile that has built the ascent to this point was laid by people endowed with passion, vision, and full of inspiration, who shared the same principles and values that the Tempini Team believes in and is guided by.
Thus, throughout the year, Tempini dedicated each value to a 2-month story, through specific campaigns and actions, celebrating in turn the 6 themes that define and strengthen the brand’s personality and uniqueness: HERITAGE, avantGART, CREATION, DEVOTION, REFINEMENT, and PROMISE.
For Tempini, beauty is a lifestyle that can take the form of tall buildings, discrete spaces, decorative accents, or people who have a story to tell. Thus, if the heritage theme took an incursion into the year 1921, capturing the moments when the first artisanal ceramic tiles were taking shape, the following 5 themes celebrated the present and the people Tempini surrounds itself with: avantGARTA was dedicated to Tempini’s collaborating designers, devotion brought the entire Tempini Team to the forefront, and refinement tells the story of the great Italian designers who created the famous ceramic tile collections, leaving the promise as a testimony of innovation, sincerity, and respect for future generations of clients and collaborators who will cross the threshold of the Tempini House.
As for CREATION – beyond being one of the most important pillars underpinning the art that Tempini carries into the world, the theme also became a good opportunity to promote designers, decorators, and architects at the beginning of their journey, for whom every space becomes an inspiration board.
“The Circle of People Created for CREATION” took place on Tempini’s social media pages and involved the selection of 10 artists, recent graduates or with a maximum of 3 years of experience in the field, who competed through their portfolios for the grand prize of 1000 Euros and the opportunity to design the interior of a bathroom for one of Tempini’s fans (selected by drawing lots within the same campaign), with materials worth 2500 Euros.
The winning pair was Andrei Vasilescu – #Giveaway winner and Mihaela Dumitru, Interior Designer and Architect chosen to design the bathroom project and founder of LINE. Architecture & Design.
In choosing the collaborating designer, Andrei Vasilescu, along with his wife, selected those values that correspond to the design style approached throughout their home, as the two were already in the midst of renovation.
Browsing through the portfolios of the 10 Designers, Mihaela Dumitru’s renderings best matched what they wanted: simple and serious colors, a harmonious blend of classic and modern, heterogeneous choices that create a story wrapped in form.
The collaboration between the two was natural and shaped, from week to week, each idea, requirement, or desire. However, the challenge was transforming a 7.2 sqm space into a place adaptable for Tempini materials and accessible for two adults and a child. Once again, designer Mihaela Dumitru found the ideal solutions and proportions: suspended sanitary objects on the countertop, shelves, and cabinets incorporated into the wall, and ceramic tiles from the Exalt / Cerim collection by Florim Ceramiche, whose marble effect provides openness and brightness to the bathroom.
The bathroom is in the process of being renovated, and we are just a little away from having the tour of the new space revealed to us. Until then, we can curiously discover the tones of elegance and style along with the innovation of details that have managed to transform complexity into simplicity through the accomplished ambiance.
